Urban Meadow Seedball Tin

Each tin contains 20 seed balls, enough to cover 1 square metre in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball).

 Each seed ball contains around 30 seeds from a mix of Common toadflax, Cornflower, Cowslip, Meadow cranesbill, Musk mallow, Oxeye daisy and Red campion, plus a sprinkling of pollinator-friendly annuals Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly.

Scatter in Spring or Autumn. A beautiful mix of native wildflowers that is perfect for pollinators and the most hardy of our wildflower mixes. Urban Meadow is a colour combination of annuals and perennials developed in collaboration with River of Flowers – a fantastic and inspiring organisation working to create and connect urban meadows across the globe.

The seed balls are made at Seedball HQ in North London - from a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails while the seed ball degrades and and the seeds sprout. All wildflowers are listed by the RHS.
