'Hellebores in Pheasant Jug' by Susie Hamilton In the late winter it's such a joy to spot a hellebore.

“Although hardy, I think they are also quite shy, with their little faces cast downwards. It's so rare in February to see such strong colours: mulberry, wine, buttermilk and lime. The hellebore petals are so pretty, some patterns like freckles, others like polkadots.

I particularly like the delicate edging on this Burleigh jug and the pheasant hiding amongst the foliage.
